Antioxidant RD (polymerised 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline, also called TMQ), CAS 26780-96-1, is an amine-type (quinoline) antioxidant that gives strong protection against heat, oxygen and flex fatigue. It is a workhorse antioxidant for the rubber industry, generally used in dark or non-staining-critical compounds (it is slightly discolouring). PolyBlueChem supplies Antioxidant RD to the specification below with per-batch COA and SDS.

| Molecular formula | (C12H15N)n |
| Type | Amine (quinoline) antioxidant |
| Form | Amber to brown granule |
Applications
- Tires – protection of tyre compounds against heat and fatigue ageing.
- Mechanical rubber goods – belting, hoses, anti-vibration parts and other dynamic products.
- General rubber – long-term heat and oxygen resistance in black/dark compounds.
- Adhesives and industrial rubber – stabilisation against ageing.
Because amine antioxidants are discolouring, RD is normally used in dark compounds; for light-coloured goods a hindered phenolic antioxidant (non-staining) is preferred.
Packaging and documentation
- 25 kg PP/PE bags or fibre drums; keep sealed, cool and dry.
- Per-batch certificate of analysis (COA) and safety data sheet (SDS).
