Reading the specification
For a chiral ligand, purity is only half the specification: enantiomeric purity (ee or de) and absolute configuration decide the result of an asymmetric reaction. Two CAS numbers that differ only in configuration are different products, and they are not interchangeable – the wrong enantiomer gives the wrong major enantiomer of the product. Each grade here states its configuration in the name; confirm it against the CAS on the COA, and check water and phosphine oxide as you would for any phosphine.
